Privacy Policy

Short version: CurbLit doesn't collect your data. Photos are captured and processed on your iPhone and saved to your own Photos library. No account, no server of mine, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.

Who we are

CurbLit is made by James Beyersdorf (Beyersdorf Apps). In this policy, "we" means James Beyersdorf.

What the app stores, and where

Finished photos and videos are saved to your Photos library. If "Keep originals" is on, the individual exposures are kept in the app's own storage on your device for the period you choose, then deleted automatically. Settings and saved planner places stay on your device. We never receive any of it.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera: to take photos and time-lapses.
• Photos (add only): to save finished photos and videos to your library. The app can't read your existing photos.
• Location (while using the app): to tag photos with where they were taken (you can turn this off in the app's settings) and to work out sunset, blue-hour and moon times for your spot. Location goes into the photo files on your device and isn't sent to us.
• Notifications: only if you ask the planner to remind you before blue hour. Reminders are scheduled on your device.

The level guide and the planner's compass use your phone's motion sensors on the device. No permission is needed for this and the data isn't stored.

Address search

When you type a listing address into the planner, the app uses Apple Maps search to find it. That search is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We don't receive it.

What we don't do

• No analytics, advertising or tracking code (SDKs)
• No tracking across other companies' apps or websites
• No uploading of your photos, and no cloud processing
• No selling or sharing of personal information
• No account or sign-in

Purchases

If CurbLit offers purchases or subscriptions, Apple handles them entirely through the App Store. We never see your payment details or Apple Account.

Crash reports

If you've chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You control that setting.

Children

CurbLit isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

We hold no personal data about you, so there's nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Your photos are in your Photos library and under your control. California residents: we don't sell or share personal information.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
